Active - Sweaty - Alignment
Ashtanga inspired Vinyasa
Translated from Sanskrit the term Ashtanga means “the eight limbs of yoga.” The eight limbs were first outlined in the Yoga Sutras by Patanjali, an ancient text on the theory and practice of yoga. These limbs make up the eightfold path, a set of guidelines for living a yogic life. The third limb addresses the asanas or yoga postures, the physical part of practice. The sequence in an Ashtanga class is fix and the postures are always in the same order. In addition to the asanas, Ashtanga Yoga places strong emphasis on the seven other yogic limbs and is very much a spiritual as well as physical practice. Despite of its reputation of being a vigorous and challenging yoga “style”, Kathrin is a firm believer of Ashtanga yoga being suitable for all levels, for beginners as well as for those with special conditions and she sees it as her mission as a teacher to make Ashtanga yoga accessible for everyone.
Flow & Align
Flow & Align is a dynamic class designed to harmonize movement and alignment. This class seamlessly weaves together breath-driven flows with moments of mindful alignment, offering a balance of building strength and body awareness as well as improving flexibility and mobility. You'll move through creative sequences that warm up the body, build heat, and develop fluidity, while also incorporating pauses to explore proper alignment and deepen your understanding of each pose. Our aim is not so much to follow a particular style, but to adapt the yoga to today's functional needs. As Nicole likes to incorporate the five elements in yoga, Flow & Aligns provides a holistic experience suitable for all levels.
Yoga for Every Body
Yoga for Every Body is about creating a welcoming and inclusive environment that meets the needs of every practitioner. Unlike traditional Ashtanga yoga that can be physically demanding and rigid in their approach and therefore be intimidating, this style is adaptable and inclusive. It encourages everyone to practice at their own level, using variations and modifications that suit their unique body and experience level. Each individual has different strengths, flexibility levels and personal goals and Yoga for Every Body honors these differences. Props like blocks, straps, and bolsters are incorporated to provide support and make poses accessible for all body types and abilities. In this class, the focus is on creating an empowering and enjoyable experience for everyone regardless of their age, size, or previous yoga experience.
Magnolia Flow
Energize your body and mind with our signature flow that builds strength, flexibility and stamina. Expect a vigorous sequence that will leave you feeling strong, balanced and energized. This class is suitable for all levels with modifications offered for beginners and advanced yogis. Perfect for those who love a challenge.
Inside Flow
Inside Flow Yoga is a modern style of Vinyasa yoga that blends yoga asanas (poses) with fluid, dance-like movements, all synchronized to music. Unlike traditional Vinyasa yoga, where poses are held for a certain duration, Inside Flow is more dynamic, focusing on continuous movement that creates a "moving meditation" experience. Each Inside Flow class expresses through the music and choreography of the flow. It's a style that emphasizes fluidity, mindfulness, and the power of music to enhance the yoga experience, offering both a physical challenge and an emotional connection. In a nutshell, Inside Flow is Vinyasa Flow Yoga set to the beat of music. Throughout the session, you'll work on a sequence that perfectly aligns with a specific song, making the music an essential and central element of the practice. By the end of the class, the flow is fully synchronized with the rhythm, creating a powerful connection between movement and melody.
Gentle Yoga
This class is ideal for those looking for a slower pace, individuals recovering from injuries, seniors, or anyone seeking a more therapeutic approach to yoga. With a focus on mindful movement, breath awareness, and deep relaxation, each posture is guided with modifications and props to ensure safety, comfort, and accessibility for every student. Gentle stretches, slow flows, and restorative poses help release tension, improve flexibility, and promote overall well-being. Expect a soothing and supportive practice designed for all levels and bodies.
Relaxing - Stress Relief - Healing
Yin Yoga
In Yin Yoga, we let the body come to rest. The mostly seated or lying exercises (asanas) are held for 3 - 5 minutes, we combine Yin with restorative yoga by using aids so that the muscles can really let go. Yin Yoga is the passive contrast program to dynamic Yang Yoga and also works on the connective tissue, fascia, ligaments and tendons. Through gentle stretching, Yin Yoga helps to relieve muscular tension and ensures greater freedom of movement, more supple joints and more flexible connective tissue and muscles. By stretching the back muscles, the practice can therefore help with back pain. Possible effects of Yin Yoga - Flexibility of the muscles is increased - Energy flows are stimulated - Fasciae and connective tissue become more flexible - Tension can be released - The mind comes to rest - Emotional blockages can be released - The subconscious can come to light In every Yin lesson we start with a short meditation and a long final relaxation (Savasana).
Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra, also known as yogic sleep. The aim of deep relaxation is to create access to deeper layers of consciousness. This should make it possible to completely relax mentally, emotionally and physically. Participants lie down on the mat for the lesson or adopt a relaxed sitting posture. One of the aims of Nidra Yoga is to enable practitioners to perceive themselves differently, allowing participants to recover from daily stress. Participants can focus more on their own goals and become more stress-resistant. The practice of Nidra Yoga enables participants to start their daily lives refreshed and focused. Possible effects of Yoga Nidra -Reduced irritability - Improved stress resilience - Better mental receptivity - Deeper sleep - Improved ability to concentrate - Inner peace - Physical well-being The release of stress hormones is lower with regular exercise. The immune system can work more stably. Yoga Nidra can help you if you want to deal with stress better or if your thoughts are often racing, you can't sleep or if you are unable to concentrate. It helps you to find your center again when you are restless.
